Confused Indentities

Dear Prabhus, Maharajas, and Vaishnavas everywhere,

Please accept my dundavats. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Kindly Note The Following...

Satyanarayana dasa is an American disciple of Srila Prabhupada who has been a production manager and quality control/printing consultant for the North American BBT for the past 10 years. He is also on the investment/fund-raising committee for the Sri Mayapur Project.

While realizing that certain issues need to be intelligently and continually addressed in this young and growing movement, he is definitely pro-ISKCON and fully subscribes to Srila Prabhupada's every word. He prays for the mercy of Srila Prabhupada and all Vaishnavas so that he may someday have the ability to follow those words without fail or compromise.

Satya Narayana das, who sometimes spells his name "Satyanarayana dasa" as he did in his May 21st letter to VNN entitled "Request from Satyanarayana", is an Indian and former disciple of Jayatirtha dasa. He has written various controversial books which are at odds with the philosophy of Krishna Consciousness as presented to us by Srila Prabhupada. His views have succeeded in having him officially removed from ISKCON. He has recently remarked that he does not want to associate with ISKCON devotees, and that he cannot fully subscribe to Srila Prabhupada's words.

In other words, these are two very different people. In the past, and again just recently, there has been confusion over these names and "who is who". Let this note dispel any further misunderstandings.
