CHAKRA Makers Caught Stealing?

USA (VNN) - UPDATE 12/29/97 - What happened here? After VNN runs the story below, suddenly the images in question disappear from the CHAKRA site and are replaced by very similar looking ones. Was this an accidental stealing? After all, with all these many web sites all over the net today, it is difficult to tell which web site is your own and which belongs to someone else. It can get confusing - we understand. Mine - yours, its all Krishna's - right? Another tip: Following example and imitating is not the same!

Original VNN Story:

USA (VNN) - We all at VNN have watched the appearance of the CHAKRA site and its development. VNN has welcomed this attempt by ISKCON to become more open about its problems and communication.

We have also seen the gradual development of CHAKRA wanting to look more and more like VNN. We are flattered by that.

But just today we have seen something most curious. The CHAKRA webmaster has copied several graphic images designed by VNN and used on the VNN home page from VNN and put them on their CHAKRA site. They didn't even bother renaming the images.

The following images have been copied from VNN and are used now at the CHAKRA site:

A message for the CHAKRA webmaster:

If you take something that is not yours without asking it is called "stealing"!

CHAKRA - please produce your own artwork. The material you copied is copyrighted by VNN and protected by International Copyright Laws. As leaders of the Hare Krishna movement and representatives of Srila Prabhupada you should set a better example.

An apology would be in place as well.
