INVITATION
We like to inform all the members and friends of the WVA-VVRS
that the managerial committee of the Kartik 1997 meeting has changed
the dates of the yearly functions.
Gaura Purnima Festival Time
The managing committee meeting is going to be held one day before Gaura Purnima at 10 AM. Place: Sri Chaitanya Gaudiya Math Isodian Mayapur.
Visva Vaisnava Raj Sabha WVA Nagar Sankirtan congregational Chanting will start from the Mayapur Ghat ( Hoolah Ghat) one day after Gaura Purnima at 9 AM. The Kirtan groups will visit all the temples and proceed up to the Birthplace of Lord Chaitanya. Finally there will be speeches at Yoga Pith by leading participants of the Nagar Sankirtan. This is the international Meeting as was conducted in the last two years in Srivas Angan. All members felt that this yearly meeting shall be celebrated in the birthplace of Lord Chaitanya.
The Mela of the VVRS-WVA will be held in Mayapur Ghat. Starting five days before Gaura Purnima we will open the exhibits and stage programs of Bhajan and lectures of different representatives of the Sabha. Right in front of the Mayapur Boat ghat you will see the entrance to the exhibition area. All Missions are invited to send their Book tables and exhibits one day before to set up their booth and Photo exhibits of their Mission, Spiritual Masters, Temples and projects.
Vrindavan Meeting
We also changed the dates for the Vrindavan International Meeting. The managerial committee of the VVRS-WVA will meet in The Vrinda Kunja WVA office at 10 AM. The meeting will be held the day before Rama Ekadasi.
The International Meeting will be celebrated the day after Rama Ekadasi. At three o clock the Meeting will be held in the old Govindaji Mandir.
Srila Jiva Goswami had started this Sabha under the order of Srila Rupa Goswami. Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur again revived the Sabha and predicted that devotees of Lord Chaitanya will come from all over the world. Srila Sarasvati Thakur Prabhupada send the devotees to foreign lands to carry the banner of Sri Chaitanya. Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada fulfilled the predictions and dreams of his predecessors. Then Srila Bhakti Promode Puri Maharaj again revived this Sabha. Now this Nagar Sankirtan is celebrating the all Vaisnava Missions and devotees joined Nagar Sankirtan.
Devotees from all over the world participate in this function. The same Nagar Sankirtan of the VVRS-WVA was held in Vrindavan Kartik 1997 in three occasions. It was beautiful to see the big Kirtan group carrying banners from all the missions and pictures of all the Acaryas and disciples of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Prabhupada.
Many Kirtan groups were singing simultaneously and visited all the temples of the Gaudiya Math family tree in Vrindavan. The happiness was so great that the same festival was repeated on three days in this Kartik. It was decided to repeat this every year. Every year one day after Rama Ekadasi and Rama Ekadasi and Uttana Ekadasi we will start our Kirtan from Rupa Sanatan Gaudiya Math at 9 AM. Please bring banners and pictures of your Acaryas.
We welcomed for the first time in our meeting in Vrindavan the Acarya of the Mission started by Srila Bhakti Hridoy Bon Maharaj. Srila Gopananda Bon Maharaj addressed the gathering in praise of his Guru and Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
Another first time speaker was the founder Acarya of Isa Chaitanya Mandalam Srila Bhakti Nandan Swami Maharaj. Outstanding speaker and singer was Srila Bhakti Sambandha Narayana Maharaj.
Twelve Vaisnava missions were present in the Managerial Committee meeting Kartik 97. We like to emphasize that these managerial committee meetings are of principal importance for the future service of the VVRS-WVA. All other functions of the Sabha are celebrations of unity in Diversity. But these meetings actually produce new ideas. Here everyone can contribute new proposals to increase the service of this Sabha to the Vaisnava community.
