GBC To Call Emergency Meeting

USA (VNN) - VNN has learned that due to the release of the report on 11/11/97 by Balavanta das an emergency session of the GBC has been scheduled for this week. Due to the incriminating nature of this report new support for the suspicion of foul play is inevitable.

Balavanta is said to be proceeding with his investigation which will include voice prints
of the individuals present at the time.

VNN has received reports from other devotees who are analyzing the tapes and according to their findings the passage on the tape could also say:

"Put the poison in" or
"Put the poison in the milk" or
"Put the poison in the cup".

or

"Is the poison in the milk?... Hmm..."

This passage is shortly after Srila Prabhupada mentions "milk" and a loud "click" can be heard on the tape as in a poorly done editing cut.

Isa das says he remembers now that Satsvarupa Swami, after giving him the tapes in 1977 in Dallas, told him that the tapes had already been edited in India.

As a preventive measure some senior Vaishnavas and other parties are calling on the GBC to immediately:

• Suspend of the following devotees from all their ISKCON managerial duties
• Ascertain their whereabouts
• They be asked not leave town or the country
• Freeze all their bank accounts

of the following devotees: (list of devotees believed to be present)

• Bhavananda das
• Tamal Krishna Swami
• Bhakti Caru Swami
• Jayapataka Swami
• Burijana das
• and/or any other devotees present in the room during this recording

until an independent and/or possible criminal investigation is over.

New focus of the investigation is now also shifting to the following questions:

• who handed the tapes to Satsvarupa Swami in India to be taken to the US.
• who was in charge of making the tape recordings in Srila Prabhupada's room in Vrindavan.
• who edited the tapes in India before they were taken to the US.

VNN is having the tape analyzed on professional equipment today. By tomorrow VNN will have a professionally enhanced version of the audio file online.
