Seva Ayurveda Clinic Bangalore - India
What is Ayurveda? Ayurveda is the art of good life and gentle healing. It is made
up of two Sanskrit words, ayus, meaning "life and veda, meaning
"knowledge" or "science". When this theoretical wisdom becomes
a part of our day to day life, a part of our very self, it matures
into an art and will guide us at every stage of our existence
and while following it's principles grant us the highest quality
of life.
The simple, yet complex thesis of Ayurveda is based on the fact
that everything in nature, including ourselves, consists of the
same building blocks, the proto-elements. Too much or too little
of any of these materials may disturb the natural equilibrium
in nature as well as of our organism and eventually lead to disease
or decay. Adding such elements that are of opposite character
to the aggravated ones will restore the homeostasis or healthy
balance. This sounds amazingly simple. In fact, it is quiet easy
to maintain good health by following this principle. However,
in unhealthy conditions it requires great skill of the physician
to analyze the exact status of the elements. That is why patients
with the same affliction may be treated with divergent therapies.
Contemporary Pancakarma.
The entire therapeutics of internal medicine (Kayacikitsa) can
be classified into six generic groups of possible actions that
a physician takes to treat a diseased condition. They are lightening,
nourishing, drying, unctuous, fomentation and astringent therapies.
This classification also includes the Pancakarma treatment which
is not only a major therapeutic component of Ayurveda, but is
the fundamental basis of treatment in this system. It seems, that
over the passage of time, the practice of Pancakarma therapy declined.
Possibly, because of its radical approach and cumbersome methodology.
Physicians started to treat their patients with the help of drugs
and diet alone. Consequently, Pancakarma almost disappeared. However,
in Kerala, South India, Pancakarma not only survived but was further
developed. Today, these therapies bear distinctive differences
from the classical Pancakarma of Caraka and are better known as
Keraliya-Pancakarma or Kerala Specialties. They are a very remarkable
achievement of the Kerala physicians and have proved very efficient
in the treatment of chronic, psychosomatic and neuro-psychiatric
ailments.
Based on our clinical experience during the last decade in Europe,
where we have treated thousands of patients, we have made many
necessary changes in our treatment procedures. Hence we term our
approach as Contemporary-Pancakarma. Vastu or Vedic Geomancy The
atmosphere or the space around us contains different kinds of
energies, like cosmic rays, magnetic waves and bioelectric waves.
When a part of this space is enclosed by a house, it becomes a
living organism. It throbs, vibrates or pulsates just like a living
entity. Because of the different direction impact of these energy
waves on the human body the inhabitants of the house may benefit
if they are made to enter our bodies in a balanced measure. The
science of orienting our bodies and the buildings we reside and
work in towards these fields and cosmic rays, in accordance with
the methodologies laid down in Yajurveda, is known as Vastu or
Vedic Geomancy. For the good of our patients we have constructed
our SEVA AYURVEDA CLINIC incorporating important Vastu principles.
The design was conceived and executed by the renown architect
and Vastu scientist late Dr. K.V. Raja Rao. SEVA AYURVEDA CLINIC
