Recap of Events

1) Ayurveda talk. The talk on Ayurveda last Sunday was a complete success. About 20 students attended, many of whom had very good questions. Thanks for your talk, Laura!

2) Interfaith. The SDSA Interfaith Week Organizing Committee had their first meeting before last Sunday's puja and made several plans and decisions concerning next semester's Interfaith Week, which the SDSA is organizing in conjunction with Hillel, U.W.'s Jewish student group.

Movie Review

Kundun

On Friday several of our officers went to see the new movie "Kundun". It is an account of the life story of the current Dalai Lama, the religious and temporal leader of the Tibetan nation. We all agreed that it is definitely one of the best movies of the year. It was impressively accurate in its portrayal of both Tibetan culture, as well as the plight that the Tibetan people have endured since the Communist invasion of their homeland. If you want to see a movie that you will remember for years after, "Kundun" is it. * * * *
