The Book of Gethsemane

BY BHAKTISIDDHARTHA DASANUDAS

PUBLICATION, May 3 (VNN) — Dear Maharajas, Prabhus and Didis,

Hare Krsna! Dandabat pranams. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva!

I am extremely pleased to announce the paperback publication of my new book, The Book of Gethsemane. This book, based on Srila Prabhupada's Bhagavad-gita As It Is, offers a solution to one of the most perplexing questions in Christianity: What transpired between Jesus and God on the night before the Crucifixion? This much is recorded in the Bible: Jesus spent the night in the Garden praying to the Lord. But since the disciples were asleep, they could not record any details in the Gospels.

But Jesus' situation is familiar one: we've seen it before in Bhagavad-gita. When I realized this, I saw that it was possible to interpolate the divine reasoning and arguments of the Gita into the Biblical scene in the Garden of Gethsemane. This is the concept of The Book of Gethsemane. I think it works pretty well. If you want to read a sample chapter and see for yourself, click here.

This is a great book to introduce your Christian friends and family members to the philosophy of Krsna consciousness in a way that they can understand.
