The European Vaisnava Festival 2004 will take place at the Collegio Santa Maria (Hotel Castagnola), Verbania, Northern Italy, from 21st to 27th of June, 2004 (arrival day 20th afternoon and departure day 28th morning).
The venue is situated in a beautiful location on the shore of Lago Maggiore in the Italian Alps and is easily accessible by train, road and plane. There are many good facilities, rooms with private bathroom and telephone, two big halls for sleeping bags, and a big camping place for tents.

How to reach Verbania By road From Milano (80 km) on Highways A8/E62 and A26/E62 via GALLARATE, SESTO CALENDE, direction GRAVELLONA TOCE, exit STRESA/BAVENO. When out of the highway take road S.S. 34 towards Verbania-Intra, before reaching the lake side look out for and follow the sign COLLEGIO SANTA MARIA pointing to the right. Through a narrow street you reach the Collegio and Hotel Castagnola.
From Switzerland and Germany: follow the highway to GRAVELLONA TOCE (A26) exit STRESA/BAVENO
From France: Follow always direction Milano and then follow direction A26 GRAVELLONA TOCE exit STRESA/BAVENO.
By Air
Milano Malpensa airport is about 50 minutes by road from Verbania. There is a regular bus/train schedule from the airport to Verbania-Pallanza. Between 5:35 a.m. and 7:50 p.m. buses leave approximately every 20 minutes from Malpensa Airport Terminals 1 and 2 to Gallarate railway station. From Gallarate station, trains leave regularly for Verbania. It's possible also to have a bus directly from the airport to the venue but we need at least 50 persons together. In this case please contact the coordinator of your country and let us know the arrival time and the number of persons.
From Milano Linate airport buses leave approximately every 30 minutes for Milano Stazione Centrale (tickets on bus) all day long. From Milano/FF.SS Stazione Centrale (ca. 80 km) the trains run on an hourly schedule, nearly . Take a train direction DOMODOSSOLA (via GALLARATE, ARONA - about 5 Euros) to VERBANIA. See also:

From Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport take the bus to Milano Stazione Centrale running every hour and there take the train direction Domodossola (via Gallarate, Arona) to Verbania.
Before taking on the train, remember to stamp your ticket with the small yellow machine by the platform entrance. Some trains (Eurocity or Intercity) need a supplementary payment.
From Verbania train station to the Collegio Santa Maria: We will organise a shuttle from the train station to the hotel on the afternoon of June 20th. The shuttle will leave the train station after the arrival of the most important trains. Therefore, please finalize your trip and let us know when you expect to arrive. There is also an ASPAN service bus at the Verbania-Intra railway station to coincide with the trains. Ask to get off for the Castagnola Hotel/Collegio S. Maria.

We are giving here the time schedule for the line buses running every day from
Malpensa Airport in Milan to Verbania Hotel Castagnola:
7:30 - 10:30 - 16:30 - 17:30 - 20:30
Return trip (Verbiana to Malpensa Airport):
6:05 - 9:05 - 13:05 - 16:05 - 19:05
Price for every ticket Û10.50. The return ticket must be booked at the reception of the venue at least one day before the departure. From
Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport we will arrange two buses on 20th of June: one at 13:00pm and one at 16:30pm. Those who are arriving at this airport are requested to contact us (for English devotees please contact Pradyumna Misra Prabhu at
) in order to book their seat on these two buses, stating their arrival time and departure time.
If somebody is arriving at
Milano Linate airport, please let us know your arrival time as soon as possible. We have to book the buses before 15th of May therefore please contact us before this date.

Accommodations and festival fees
We have about 42 triple rooms (3 persons), 16 double rooms (2 persons), 8 quadruple rooms (4 persons), 3 quintuple rooms (5 persons), all with private bathroom; two big halls for sleeping bags (please bring your mats) and an area for camping (please bring your tent).
- The fees for the festival per person in rooms all inclusive (private bathroom, air conditioning, telephone, cleaning of the room, bedding, three meals and festival expenses) is 200 Euros.
- For those who want to be in the hall with the sleeping bag or in the camping site with the tent is 96 Euros.
In order to be sure to get your room or place in the hall or inside the camping area, we suggest you book and pay your fees in advance.
