The Gaudiya Mission was founded by Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad. Her Grace Srimati Vinode Vani Dasi alias Miss Daisy Cecilia Bowtell. The temple of Sri Vasudev Gaudiya Math was donated to the Mission by this aristocratic British lady who became an ardent disciple after becoming attracted to the beauty, truth and harmony of the Vaishnava Philosophy in the late 1930's. To encourage the study of the Pure Vaishnava faith and its Philosophy in conjunction with the comparative study of other schools of religious thought with a view to bringing about Universal Harmony and Brotherhood at a spiritual level. The Mission's preachers go out to the people ands speak to them in public meetings and private discussions about the real concept of true religion for every human being.
