Lamentation And Tears
BY KRODHASAMANI D.D.
EDITORIAL, Aug 20 (VNN) The Stealing Away of Lord Siva
Lord Siva (a beautiful Siva lingam) had been living in New Dwarka for eight years.
He has been worshipped by the residents of New Dwarka, the Indian community and the congregation with great pomp, ceremony and opulence.
I was fortunate enough to have Lord Siva in my home for several months.
During that time many guests would come in and receive and feel the blessing of this Deity. Anyone who came near him always felt protected. Lord Siva bestowed devotional service.
One of the most prominent pastimes of this Deity was transforming visitors of the temple into the devotees of Lord Krsna.
In one particular Siva Ratri, one yoga teacher, Felio, came to bath Lord Siva. After that day, she became a devotee of Lord Krsna. To this day, she is a member of New Dwarka. She is in charge of the flower buying for the Deities, and every year she decorates the Rathayatra Carts and engages many people in Lord Jagannatha's service.
Another yoga teacher, George Pagan. his wife Sandy, and daughter Michelle received darshan of Lord Siva on the next Siva Ratri. They too have become devotees of Lord Krsna and visit the temple for kirtan. These are only two out of the many blessings of this deity.
We all miss Lord Siva desperately here, and whoever has stolen Him from His place in New Dwarka, will have to suffer greatly for this offense.
Another name for Lord Siva is Rudra-one who becomes quickly angered. So why would anyone want to steal him from his place of worship? If anyone sees our beloved Lord Siva, please call us-the pujaris, the Indian community who come to worship Him, all the devotees, the children, friends of Lord Krsna . . . we are always thinking of Him . . . . Prabhupada has said that Lord Siva is the greatest devotee of Lord Krsna.
And to the poor soul who has stolen Him, please return Him. You have not simply stolen Him from one individual, you have stolen Lord Siva from an entire community of bhaktas.
The karma for stealing is severe. So please exhibit some intelligence and return Him. The love of his devotees will keep this matter persevering until He is found and worshipped here again.
Your humble servant,
Krodhasamani d.d.
