Ineffective Preaching

BY RAMDAS DAS

EDITORIAL, Jun 3 (VNN) — Dear honest devotees of the Lord,

I understand one's desire to see his guru glorified; viewed from the proper perspective, and that the world should know the truth about such a personality. Especially in the case of our divine master His Divine Grace Srila A. C. Bhaktivedhanta Swami Prabhupada (who, on the order of his guru, has benefited the world over, empowered as he was by none other than Lord Nityananda Prabhu Himself); one surely is entitle to try and establish such a guru's position.

But as we see in the arguments brought to the judgment of the vaisnava community (and to the attention of the world) by the ritviks, truth as presented by them is that Srila Prabhupada, after a lifetime of perfect preaching and example, never produced even one pure devotee capable of giving shelter (as guru) to any sincere soul. Would any reasonable person take up a course taught by a highly qualified professor but which nonetheless didn't qualify even one of its students in the end? Best to look for education elsewhere...

Not only his preaching is ineffective (as per the ritviks), but even Krsna has abandoned him, as is the alarm of the poisoniks now. Srila Prabhupada was denied the protection of the Supreme Lord, Sri Krsna (Who, by they way, is the protector of all devotees) but Who abandoned His Divine Grace to be poisoned by some of his disciples! May His Divine Grace keep us from even for a second doubt the words of Lord Sri Krsna.

Prahlada Maharaja, the son of a demon who only God could have defeated, was not reluctant to eat poison on the firm faith that if it offered to Narayana, it wouldn't harm him. To suggest that Srila Prabhupada had a different kind of faith relationship with Lord Krsna than that of Prahlada Maharaja is not a form of glorifying His Divine Grace.

It is my humble hope that the propounders of these two misconceptions, ritvik and poison theory, will refrain from any further public presentations of their faulty conclusions, and let purity take its course in the heart of all vaisnavas who honestly desire only to seriously take up the Holy Name and the service of Guru and Gauranga! Gaura Haribol!

Your servant, Ramdas das.
