One Guru (one of the original 11) gave a class and a ritvik devotee asked pointed questions, but they hugged afterwards and had prasadam together. It is possible for ritviks and temple devotees to be friends! Some of the Gurus have been my best friends for the last 25 years. Some grand disciples are very good friends. Hate and deceit are unworthy ornaments of a Vaisnava. In fact, hate means no Vaisnava. Vaisnavas don't hate. The two words cannot be in the same sentence. But it seems this war produces hatred. This is lack of Lord Chaitanya's mandate, to be lower than straw. Did Lord Chaitanya ever hate or have an enemy? No, he reduced his eating when Ramachandra Puri criticized. He didn't retaliate. Name me one Vaisnava who ever hated? I dare you. You can't, because he doesn't exist. We are only messengers of our master. Ravana wanted Hanuman killed, but Vibhisana said an envoy was not to be slain. Same with us, we are only serving the words of Srila Prabhupada, we research the evidence and give a report, so what is our fault? Vaisnavas should be free from hatred. Therefore temple devotees should go out and hug a ritvik today. And ritviks, you should go to artik and join with your favorite GBC and dance arm in arm, for in the final note, we are all brothers. Well, at least try to respect, start somewhere. Falsehood and deceit are servants of Kali. Its wrong to lie and deceive. Even karmis hate liars, as seen with the hubbub with Clinton. But Chakra tries to hoodwink the world. They claim over and over they defeat the ritviks. This is the biggest whopper ever told! They've got Johnny Hoodwinkle working overtime, he and his elves are flying all over the world working feverishly, so much so that Johnny is rationing the pixie dust, fearing he will run out of stock. Johnny thought tricky Dick' and slick Willy' and Saddam were his best customers, but Chakra is a strong rival. They only give one side of the news, and hopes this works for the next 10,000 years. Yea, but the real truth is not the feathered bed they portray. There was recently one fine scholar who graced our cyber waves. After giving the evolutionists a good thrashing, (quite commendable) the author decided to benedict the world further, by flexing his literary prowess for an effortless annihilation of the ritvik camp. Thereupon he penned his "Etudes philosophiques," seemingly (by Chakra reports) to set the Vaisnava world agog, sending the ritvik rebels staggering to their knees. While the ritviks staggered in a swoon and the Chakraite applause resounded, he would sit quietly by, unmoved, humbly awaiting a post of guruship, which he would reluctantly accept only out of sense of duty. But Cakra readers are kept in the dark, still to this day, of the stark reality that each and every paper of the author was soundly dismantled by the FO author. This was witnessed by the some odd 18,000 readers of VNN. We applaud the scholars work in scientific circles, and we plead as a friend to him, to turn his intellect to the reality of the debate. Admittance is much more glorious than a prolonged charade, and he would do well to be honest with himself and his readers, and then true and actual glory would await him. He can use his intelligence in Krishna's service, when this business is forgotten, as there is no shame in being bewildered by the modes, it happens to all of us. Vaisnavas forgive and forget. I hate to say this, but maybe, somehow, it seems that India devotees are just a little bit more intelligent than westerners. This is not racial, or color of skin. It is cultural. For when we were growing up and chanting "Surfing USA" many of these Indian devotees were chanting "Om Namo" as some of them were from Vaisnava families. The holy name of Krishna is permeated throughout their culture, while we grew up with Jimi Hendrix and "purple haze." Is it any wonder that maybe they have a little bit more intelligence? For instance, there is one pukka brahmacari who was raised in Vrindavan in a Vaisnava family, and he read the FO once, and immediately he understood it. But westerners will argue for years till they get the point. No wonder that the reform movement is catching on in India faster than the west. It requires keen intelligence and DETACHMENT. Ambition clouds the intelligence in Guru-tattva, it'll do it every time. They keep saying that its our concoction. Hello! We did not make this up! We have strong evidence that Srila Prabhupada wanted it! Hello! If they would stop chanting the "concoction" mantra, like a parrot, for a few minutes, perhaps this would sink in someday. We have a mountain of evidence. In fact, here's some NEW EVIDENCE! This may not be new to some, but I never heard it on the net before, so here it goes; There is a prior Hamsaduta disciple who told me this story. This confession was witnessed by 30 or 40 people, in the Berkeley temple, around 1982, when Hamsaduta confessed to a room of disciples, "This guru thing is a joke, Srila Prabhupada never wanted me to be a guru, he only wanted me to be an officiating priest, I am very sorry I did this to you." He walked out of the room. They had no idea what he was talking about, what an officiating priest was supposed to be. It took years for this witness to find out what he meant. Years later Hamsaduta told all disciples that they were actually Srila Prabhupada's disciples. So, this is another confession by an original guru, and it was his understanding that Srila Prabhupada only appointed ritviks, and nothing else. This collaborates the Topanga gate leak we all know about. So is it our fault that there is so much evidence? Do we deserve to be hated for researching and reporting this evidence? The evidence is there for all to see. While the other side has yet to demonstrate anywhere in the books or tapes where Prabhupada ordered diksa gurus, we have a mountain of evidence that he wanted ritviks. He said "officiating acaryas," (for the future) and equated it with ritvik. The secretary said, "they'll be ritviks" and Gauridas heard our master say, "Ritviks after I leave the planet." Srila Prabhupada said 3 times to "continue to be ritvik." Pita dasa heard our master say ritvik many times in 77. There are mountains of evidence still withheld from us, in the 150 missing tapes of 1977! How obvious does it have to get? The confessions of Hamsaduta and TKG confirm it. The Will gives no alternative, as Srila Prabhupada wanted only his "initiated disciples to be directors." This is HIS LEGAL COMMAND! This is clear evidence. The July 9th document is clearly an order, no termination clause mentioned, and not to be changed whimsically, as disciples have no right to change the order of the spiritual master capriciously. But we have to fight to preserve the clear orders left by Srila Prabhupada. Like the Maharaja who attempted to contest the words in the Will. Everybody knows that a Will is a legal document which strictly follows a guideline of legal exactitude of precise words. Lawyers make sure of this. Yet the Maharaja shamelessly attempts to alter the clear meaning of "my initiated disciples," saying that perhaps it refers to siksa. How in heaven's name could "initiate" mean siksa? Dear brothers, what foibles we foist on one another! Where, at what point will they stop, before they change every word of Srila Prabhupada to suit their own fancy!? They'll change all the books if we let them! Srila Prabhupada said his instructions are not a box of chocolates that we are free to pick and choose, "oh I like that one, no I reject that one." Dear brothers, when can we get a grip on sanity once again??
