In regards to your article "Only One Initiating Spiritual Master". Dear Krsna Prema Dasi, Firstly I will ask you to please re-read verse 65 of Krsna Bhajanamrta as authoured by Sri Narahari Sarkara Thakura which unequivically states... if that spiritual master takes on "asuric" qualities or a demoniac mentality then it is one's duty to REJECT such a demon "asura" guru and in his place ACCEPT a Krsna conscious spiritual master and WORSHIP him... In what other context would you like to misconstrue the meaning of ACCEPTANCE and WORSHIP of a spiritual master other than that of diksa guru ? There is no need for me to take you through the self evident and direct word for word meaning of the quoted sastra.The sastra has been placed before you.You can look at it but will you see it ? Secondly the reading and understanding of Srila Prabhupada's books is undoubtedly essential.May I refer you to the article entitled "The Post Samadhi Cult" published on January 5 on VNN. The writings of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura are also self evident and direct on how one goes about understanding the words and meanings of Srila Prabhupada. In order for you to understand the apparent conflicting statements of Srila Narahari Sarkara Thakura and Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada may I suggest that you question your Guru Maharaja on that point. Thirdly I will note that your choice to ignore the previous acharyas (as in sadhu) and the Sri Krsna Bhajanamrta (as in sastra) is a choice to ignore two thirds of the Guru - tattva. After all the words of guru must be in harmony with sadhu and sastra. The words of Srila Prabhupada are the words of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati are the words of Srila Gaura Kishora das Babaji onward and upward the sabda emanates from Bhagavan Sri Krsna.There is no first word or last word there is only the eternal continuing word. Please do not isolate Srila Prabhupada from his Guru Maharaja.He is his life and soul. The attempt was on the part of Srila Narahari Sarkara Thakura not me. The consolation for Bhaktin Catherine Blackwell is that Krsna will give bonafide Guru and bonafide Guru will give Krsna.
