EDITORIAL  Letter From The Iskcon Catonsville BY DEVOTEES OF ISKCON CATONSVILLE EDITORIAL, Mar 17 (VNN) — We, the congregational devotee members of ISKCON, Catonsville have been concerned with the state of the Temple ( management, standards set by Srila Prabhupada, preaching activities, Sadhana of the devotees in general) just to name a few. We feel that our voices have not been heard or acted on by the Temple President (NCD) or GBC (RSD) or any ISKCON authority for the past 12 years. We have learned that in the ISKCON/ Catonsville by-laws registered with the Federal and State governments, an election has to take place every year as stated in sections (1&4) of the by-laws. This election is to select new board members and one of the many duties of the board members is to select temple officers, (President, Treasurer, Secretary). These by-laws have not been followed or executed for the past 12 years which means ISKCON-Catonsville has been violating the law - plain and simple. This should not continue any longer, and hence we, the congregational devotee members of ISKCON-Catonsville are ready to assist with the compliance of the law and to bring about an enthusiastic spiritual rejuvenation within our community, which will benefit all. This concerns us so much that we are willing to take legal action against the current authorities (Temple President/GBC) to correct this wrong. In life we may become complacent and accept the status quo and may need a push in order to grow. We hope this is taken in that manner and not in an adversary way which is not our intention We want to work with all parties concerned in a positive spirit for the benefit of the community. If the following six points are violated in any way by the current authorities (President/local-GBC) or any representative thereof legal action will follow (1) An election is not held as stated in the By-laws at the premises of ISKCON of Catonsville that is located at 200 Bloomsbury Ave. Catonsville, Maryland 21228-5222. (2) The Personal Property Return form for the State of Maryland is filled out without an election for Iskcon of Catonsville Inc. located at:200 Bloomsbury avenue Baltimore county,Cationsville Maryland 21228-5222 (3) We are stopped from congregating at the legal address of Iskcon of Catonsville at: 200 Bloomsbury avenue, Catonsville, Maryland 21228-5222. (4) The Board of Directors is selected illegally by (this includes the acting, the local President, local GBC or anyone not authorized to select Board members and Directors for Iskcon Catonsville, Inc., located at 200 Bloomsbury avenue Baltimore county, Catonsville, Maryland 21228-5222 according to the laws of the State of Maryland. (5) The By-Laws are changed improperly or not followed at all persons purporting to be authorities for Iskcon of Cationsville,Inc. located at:200 Bloomsbury Avenue, Baltimore County, Catonsville, Maryland 21228-5222 (6) And any political maneuvering is done by the GBC representative of ISKON of Catonsville, the current President of ISKCON Catonsville, located at: 200 Bloomsbury avenue, Baltimore county, Catonsville, Maryland 21228-5222 or any legal representative of the current authorities to stop a legal election process You should also know that because of the current violations that exist today the State and Federal governments can also take legal action. They are unaware of the violations so all we would have to do is inform them without filing a law suit As you can see we have two legal options to take advantage of. We sincerely hope that these conditions can be met in a positive manner and resolved quickly without resorting to any of the legal actions.
