ISKCON Guru Sannyasi Steps Down

Brazil (VNN) - VNN as learned that Ishwara Swami, an ISKCON guru residing from Brazil, has sent a letter of resignation to several ISKCON leaders and GBC. The letter states that he is relinquishing all responsibilities in ISKCON. He has reportedly left the ISKCON temple in Brazil and is currently staying with some householders.

He joined ISKCON at a young age and took sannyasa approx. 15 years ago. He was known in ISKCON for his dedicated service to the Portuguese BBT and was one of the trustees of the BBTI.

In the letter the former swami gives several reasons for his decision. He has also left a letter to be distributed to his 300 disciples. VNN will publish the letters shortly.
